Liminal Embodiment

Some paintings reveal something. These hold something back.

At first glance: atmosphere. Muted light, contained colour, a stillness that is not empty. At second glance, something begins to stir within it. A figure without contour. A warmth that lies in the pigment, not in the form. Something that looks at the viewer before the viewer sees it.

These paintings do not ask to be understood. They ask for presence.

Liminal Embodiment (Prologue, I and II) marks the beginning of a series that remains open — a pictorial space allowed to continue growing.
