Work

Between gesture, space and perception.

Threshold spaces emerge. A tension that resists premature resolution and asks for presence.

Layers come and go. What cannot be held onto is held.

I resist the impulse to resolve tension too quickly.

Colour, surface, absence. In relation to space. To the body.

Perception shifts.

In the in-between, no final answer appears. An open process. A risk.

This is how a language begins to take shape.

I live and work in Baden near Vienna.

Since 2020, painting has been at the centre of my artistic practice.

Unter dem Begriff Pictorial Spaces– Bildräume – entwickle ich Arbeiten im Spannungsfeld von Bild, Raum und Wahrnehmung.

In addition to independent works, I create selected commissions for private and public collections.

Voices

Karin’s works bring a particular atmosphere into a room.
They do not simply fit in — they change how the space is perceived.
— Marie-Sophie Wilhelm, Interior Designer

One of her paintings is the first thing I see every morning.
It gives the day an unexpectedly quiet direction.
— Dr. Birgit Karle, Collector

The painting changes with the light and with the mood of the room.
It is never quite the same — and that is exactly what makes it so special to me.
— Katharina H., Collector
